The increasing complexity of our times makes people uncomfortable. People react to uncertainty by seeking ‘facts’ that corroborate their views and joining others with similar opinions, creating comfortable spaces or ‘bubbles’. This search increasingly takes place on-line on social media, which is fuelled by algorithms and dominant political and commercial parties. This results in strong, self-perpetuating bubbles that isolates and polarizes groups of populations.
We need to re-connect and re-assess how we and others view the world and learn how to build bridges instead of bubbles. Read more about this in our book Wicked World International edition.
